Sally’s Cider Press is a small cider mill just north of Harmony, PA.  As part of an upgrade to their facilities, they wanted to offset their seasonal energy use with solar electricity.  Three Sisters permaculture worked with the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture to secure grant funding for the project.  We then designed and installed a 5 Kilowatt grid-tied photovoltaic electric system.  Electricity generated by the photovoltaic array offsets annual electricity use at the cider mill.
