The Robert A. Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research, a project of Slippery Rock University, has been a regional leader in promoting a more sustainable lifestyle since 1990.  Beginning in 1987, Three Sisters Permaculture has contributed to the design and development of the Macoskey Center.  Our major contributions included the initial permaculture site design, installation of the edible landscape, and design and construction of a constructed wetland for wastewater treatment.  Other contributions to the Macoskey Center included advice and mentoring to graduate students of the Masters of Sustainable Systems program from 1990 to 2006.
